Black

"Black" is an independent film that was written, produced and directed by J. Starr Welty.  The film was shot in and around Albuquerque in 2006, and is currently in post-production stages.   In this film I played the role of Mr. Martin, and this was my first credited, speaking role in a major film production.  The photo below is one I was able to take as we were getting ready to film the hot tub scene, in which I was the "aging hippy" trying to have a philosophical discussion with a 17 year old "goth".  I will be receiving a copy of the DVD when the film is completed, and I'll be able to post more scenes from the film here at that time.  At the time this photo was taken, we were just hanging around, waiting for darkness, and for the background players who were attending a party at "my house".  That's Starr Welty with the orange drink.   On the left is the photographer, and the two stars of the film are in the foreground.
