Seraphim Falls

In November of 2005, I spent a week on location at the "Railroad Camp" for the movie Seraphim Falls with Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson.  This was a really hard job.  We had to be out in the middle of nowhere at 5 AM when the temperatures were below freezing.  During the afternoon, the sun was baking all of us, and we were getting seriously sun burned.  And then we'd be shooting until after sunset, when the temperatures were getting down close to freezing again.  It was rough.

In the scene below you can see me passing behind Pierce Brosnan, carrying a shovel over my shoulder.

Here I am again, on the far right, just to the right of the pole.  It looks like I'm still carrying that same damn shovel!

I knew when we were through shooting that I'd be lucky if I was seen at all in this movie.  The AD who was in charge of placing all the extras just didn't like the way I looked for some reason.  Every morning as she was assigning positions, she'd look at me, point to the far end of the set and say "Whore Town!"  So I got to spend the whole week down at whore town, hanging out with the railroad prostitutes and my friend Harry, the blacksmith (who really is a blacksmith by the way).
